My hero, Nasrallah

articlemain

Clients of law firm Watson Farley & William might be interested to read in the latest edition of The Lawyer magazine about the likes and dislikes of partner Michael Wachtel.

In the magazine’s “Work-Life” quiz, Wachtel says his hero is “Hizbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, not because of his politics or his ideology but because he refused to be intimidated by a much stronger foe and won.”

Although Wachtel is not really bothered about politics or ideology, he might be interested in his hero’s view on the Jewish people. In a 2001 speech, Nasrallah said: “What do the Jews want? They want security and money. Throughout history the Jews have been Allah’s most cowardly and avaricious creatures. If you look all over the world, you will find no one more miserly or greedy than they are.”

Heroic stuff indeed.
