King Solomon's apprentice

articlemain

Sun TV columnist Will Payne was excited this week to uncover a link between Apprentice boss Lord Sugar and contestant Daniel Lassman.

Mr Lassman, who has twice escaped the boardroom chop in successive weeks, was a pupil at King Solomon High School, whose life president is Lord Sugar.

The Redbridge school even has a Sugar wing for Jewish studies.

A spokesman for Lord Sugar described the connection as "entirely coincidental", according to the newspaper, and neither he nor Mr Lassman had known of it.

The would-be apprentice can be seen in the opening credits wishing a kosher storekeeper "Shalom". Look out for a familiar location in a future episode not a hundred miles from Golders Green.
