In search of Lord Sugar's rugelach

A group of candidates for the next series of The Apprentice were filmed in Stamford Hill in hot pursuit of the Ashkenazi pastry

Lord Sugar once famously bade his would-be Apprentices to find a kosher chicken in Morocco.

Now participants in the next series of the reality show will face a new Jewish challenge; to procure some rugelach.

TV cameras were spotted this week in the Stamford Hill branch of Grodzinski’s following a group of candidates in pursuit of the Ashkenazi pastry.

The Apprentice is due to return for its barmitzvah series in the autumn.

Will we learn if Lord Sugar ever frequented the original Grods when growing up in Hackney?

Will he reveal his favourite flavour, chocolate or cinnamon? And will he pronounce it “rugelach” or “rogelach”?
