Howard the pig farmer?

articlemain

Here is Howard Jacobson and his new pet called Zoo Time.

The pig is part of the Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize for comic writing awarded at the Hay Festival and — in the tradition of the prize — is named after his latest novel.

He is the first writer to win the award twice, having earned himself his first pig with The Mighty Waltzer in 2000.

(P.G.Wodehouse was the creator of the famous literary porker, the Empress of Blandings).

“I am only sorry my pig has to be called Zoo Time,” Mr Jacobson told Wales Online.“It feels a little tactless. But it could have been worse. It could have been called Bring Up the Bodies."
