Embassy’s lack of Irish charm

articlemain

When it comes to publicity, someone should tell the Israeli Embassy in Ireland that there are better ways to promote Israel’s cause than posting a distasteful message next to a photo of the Virgin Mary and Jesus.

The embassy apologised after the image on its Facebook site suggested that if the pair were alive today, they would “as Jews without security, probably end up being lynched in Bethlehem by hostile Palestinians”.

Not a very merry Christmas message at all.
