Dogs groomed for office role

articlemain

If you find a dachshund under your desk or a whippet by the watercooler next month, do not be surprised - it will only be a colleague's pet taking part in Bring Your Dog to Work Day.

The annual event was launched in 2014 by Jo Amit and Mark Hirschel to support the charity All Dogs Matter. The Borehamwood business partners are founders of Hownd, which makes canine grooming products.

"We thought, wouldn't it be nice if businesses could allow well-behaved dogs into the office once a year," Ms Amit said. "It's a lovely way of raising money."

Pictured with them are (from left) her pet Laila, Mr Hirschel's Roxy, and Bentley, who belongs to Edgware Jewish hairdresser Lawrence Stoll.
