Another plug for Israeli cuisine this week, from Susannah Constantine, one half of style tipsters Trinny and Susannah.
In the new series of BBC1's Celebrity Masterchef, judges evoked the name of maestro Yotam Ottolenghi when praising Susannah's dish. "It's my favourite food in the world, Israeli food," she beamed,
"I love it."
Meanwhile, a new Israeli restaurant, Palomar, has opened in London, in Soho, promising the "food of modern day Jerusalem". The menu features Moroccan oysters, seared scallops and pork belly tagine.
The chefs didn't learn their trade in Mea Shearim.
