Lisa Rozelaar and Elise Power are getting a taste for success with a very sweet venture

articlemain

Sweet junkies can now get their sugar fix in a particularly stylish manner.

Sisters-in-law Lisa Rozelaar (right) and Elise Power have launched Sweet Creations, which creates table centres, trees and arrangements - all made out of sweets. Set up last year, the duo have already supplied goodies for Sky, Estée Lauder, Piers Morgan and earlier this month, the Variety Club of Great Britain's annual ball - in addition to a variety of simchas. They offer kosher and vegetarian treats.

Mrs Rozelaar, a mother-of-three, tells People: "We were standing in my kitchen and started thinking about what we could do that would also allow us to work around our kids. We came up with the idea of sweets and off we went. And thankfully, someone or something gave us a bit of a break." Previously in recruitment, she says the company is now making a profit. Their creations are stocked in department store Fenwicks and the women are in talks with Harvey Nichols. They will also be adorning the venue at this year's Capital FM Summertime Ball. "People are going mad over them. I think because they are colourful and adaptable."

The most popular sweets? Flying saucers. Mrs Rozelaar is the company's sales and marketing director while Mrs Power, a mother-of-two, is creative director. Both live in north London and are members of Edgware United Synagogue. They admit their children enjoy the perks of what they do but add: "We do put a little ban on what they are allowed to have."
