There is now an even greater reason to take up Israeli dancing, for hot-shot Ilai Szpiezak has been appointed the dance development manager at London's Israeli Dance Institute (IDI).
Mr Szpiezak, from Argentina, is a few weeks in to his new role and is already causing quite a stir.
The 20-year-old has been introducing his Latin touches into Israeli dance and hopes to use his techniques to educate people about Israel.
He tells People: "Dance, singing and music are some of the best things that Israel has to offer and I want to show this."
Mr Szpiezak, who lived
in Israel for four years, will be teaching his skills in Jewish schools, while also providing support for IDI's performing groups. In addition, he intends to work with the Union of Jewish Students and a variety youth movements.
He says: "This is a great opportunity for me and I am taking it step by step. It is nice to work with so many people from so many different places.
"Israeli dancing is very good exercise and is becoming increasingly popular. But we still need to encourage new people to take part and learn the benefits."
A former ballet dancer, Mr Spiezak has been teaching dance since he was 15. He is now based in Golders Green, north London.
