articlemain

It's the news that everybody loves to hear: chocolate is good for you.

According to chocolate lover Galia Orme, raw chocolate is full of antioxidants, can lower cholesterol and benefits the heart. So passionate she has set up CHOC Chick, a range of kits containing organic raw cacoa and a selection of recipes to enable people to make chocolate that is free from dairy, refined sugars, hydrogenated fat and additives. They are stocked in John Lewis, Whole Foods Market and Holland and Barrett, among others. Last year, Mrs Orme featured on Channel 4's Heston Blumenthal's Chocolate Factory Feast. The Michelin-star chef also mentions her company in his book, Heston's Fantastical Feast.

South American Mrs Orme, now based in Sussex, tells People: "You don't have to be a chocolatier to make chocolate. You just have to like it and be creative." Her two daughters help her make up many of the recipes, which include chilly, cardamom and salt.
