Asher Moses launches a black cab ad campaign that stars… himself

articlemain

If you have taken a black cab recently then you may well recognise this man. His face appears on 500 London taxis as part of a unique new advertising drive.

Asher Moses, 44, is the founder of Taxi Promotions — the largest independent advertising company in the UK. His latest client? Himself. A former licensed London cabbie, Mr Moses, has launched “You Looking At Me” taxi campaign. His face appears on both the outside and inside of the taxis.

“I wanted to prove that London taxi advertising works,” He tells People. “The mood out there is pretty sombre but I want to show that we are buoyant and still growing. I want to show that you can get a return on investment from taxi advertising.” Mr Moses set up Taxi Promotions in 1995 after working with charity Drugsline to launch a fleet of branded taxis around London. “I thought if I can do it for one charity then I can do it for any charity or company.” Clients include Unilever, Marks & Spencer and the Israel Ministry of Tourism.

He lives in north London.
