Israeli supermodel Bar Refaeli has broken up with Leonardo DiCaprio, according to the New York Post.

The newspaper said the couple, who have been involved since 2005, ended their relationship last week after weeks of speculation.

The split was described as amicable and because they had "grown apart".

In November the Inception star joined Ms Refaeli in Tel Aviv to celebrate his 36th birthday.

Mr DiCaprio also visited Israel in 2007, when he met President Shimon Peres to discuss environmental issues.
