Israeli wedding turns nasty

articlemain

A wedding in Petach Tikva, Israel, took a nasty turn last week when an over-enthusiastic groom stamped too hard on the glass and ended up with large pieces perforating his foot.

Medics arrived on the scene within minutes, and were ordered by the hosts to change to plain clothes to avoid panicking the guests.

Yoni Bashari, of the volunteer medical service United Hatzalah, said: “He said that his father had difficulty breaking the glass at his wedding and needed to stamp three times, so he stamped extra hard to break it in one go.”

The medics sewed up the groom’s foot and got him back to the wedding.
