Israel targeted two sites in the northern Gaza Strip early this morning following two instances of rocket fire into the south of Israel on Tuesday. A house was damaged by one of the rockets.

The Gaza targets were both weapon manufacturing sites.

A spokesman for the IDF said: "We will not allow the Israeli southern communities to continue living under constant threat, and will continue to respond with determination to any attempt to use terror against the citizens of Israel.

"The IDF holds the Hamas terrorist organisation solely responsible for any terrorist activity emanating from the Gaza Strip."
