articlemain

The IDF has arrested 19 Palestinian terrorism suspects and seized weapons in raids across the West Bank.

According to a statement released by the IDF on Tuesday morning, the suspects, including five men described as Hamas members and seven men suspected of being involved in recent attacks on civilians, were arrested and transferred to the Shin Bet security agency for interrogation.

The IDF also said they seized two weapons caches including M16 rifles, handguns, hand grenades and combat gear, thought to be held in preparation for future attacks in the West Bank.

Palestinians clashed with the IDF forces during the raids and eight people were reportedly injured by rubber bullets, as well as one teenager who was run over by a military vehicle patrolling the streets.

The operation included the demolition of homes belonging to the families of two Palestinians accused of carrying out terror attacks in November. Both attackers are in Israeli custody.
