Ding gone: Dana International out of Eurovision

articlemain

Dana International will not sing for Israel at tomorrow's Eurovision Song Contest.

The transsexual singer, who brought Israel victory in 1998, failed to make it through the semi finals in Dusseldorf.

Her entry for this year's contest was a song she wrote called Ding Dong.

However British boyband Blue, including Jewish singer Anthony Costa, will still be performing on the night for the UK with their song I Can.

Israel has won the contest three times in total.
