Abbas says he will go to ICC if Israel withholds cash

articlemain

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has warned that if Israel continues to withhold tax revenue, the Palestinian Authority may go to the International Criminal Court.

Speaking at a meeting of the Arab League in Qatar on Sunday, Mr Abbas said that if Israel refused to hand over tax revenues and went ahead with the settlement expansion plan in the E-1 area, the PA would implement a “different type of response,” and go to the ICC.

The Israeli Finance Ministry last week withheld NIS 40 million in taxes gathered from the PA for November in order to pay off existing debts to Israeli companies.
