JC GOAL OF THE WEEK CONTENDERS

- MOSES SEITLER (Hendon United Sports) - a flowing passing move from back to front saw Dovi Fehler receive the call wide right, beat his man, played the ball into Moses’ feet inside the box, the ball bounced up and a half volley drilled finish across the keeper

- CHARLIE KASLER (NL Raiders) - well-taken low strike from the edge of the box into the bottom corner

- JAMES JACONELLI (Fairlop FC) - GOAL 1 - scored a stunning free-kick in the first-half

- JAMES JACONELLI (Fairlop FC) - GOAL 2 - then an even better solo effort in the second, putting it through the defenders legs before curling a delicious effort into the top corner

- BEN WINTERS (HMH) - smashed home from an acute angle, particularly sweet as he was making his long-awaited return from injury

- ETHAN KRELL (HMH) - 30-yard screamer flew into the top corner

- SAMUEL LEADER (Bayern Mincha) - cut inside and unleashed a phenomenal scorcher of a shot into the top corner from 30 yards. An astonishing goal, worthy of winning any game

-------------------

JC SAVE OF THE WEEK CONTENDERS

- RUSS CORIN (Hendon Utd) - defying age as he continues to make unbelievable saves every week. This one was a point-blank rocket of a shot which he palmed out superbly to keep the scores at 0-0

- JAMES VAN STRATEN (Jewdinese) - stunning reflex save low down to deny Raiders

YOUR WEEKEND REVIEW STARTS HERE:

LONDON SUNDAY FA CUP LAST 16

FC ELMSTEAD 4 HMH 3

HMH bowed out of the London Sunday FA Cup following a seven-goal thriller against FC Elmstead.

Ben Winters, George Goldberg and Ethan Krell were the marksmen for HMH.

HMH boss Avi Goldberg told JC Sport: "There was a case of daylight robbery. We led throughout this contest until the referee inexplicably gave a goal that clearly hit the post and came out. How the referee missed it is a question that is unanswerable. Sportsmanship was definitely not a winner here! Elmstead refused to confirm or deny whether the ball had crossed the line - enough said. We live and learn that we have to polish teams off and not allow them back into the game."

CYRIL ANEKSTEIN CUP

REDBRIDGE JEWISH CARE B 2 BAYERN MINCHA 3

Bayern Mincha avoided an upset thanks to a dramatic late comeback against second division Redbridge B.

Trailing 0-2 with just 20 minutes remaining through strikes from Ben Sollosi and Lee Cutler, a never-say-die Bayern team progressed following goals from Philipe Auret, Matan Ozin and Sam Leader.

Bayern joint-manager Daniel Holder told JC Sport: "Overall, I think we just about edged it, but credit to Redbridge for a great game and we wish them luck for the season where they chase promotion. We hope to use this win to get us back on track in the league with a much needed confidence boost, whilst a cup run is also very much on."

Redbridge boss Richard Bronzite told JC Sport: "2-0 up with 20 to go and losing 3-2 is annoying, but it’s only a cup game and if Poch doesn’t care about cups then why should! The league is the one that matters to us! We had the chances to wrap the game up but didn’t take them. In the end our age told like it has in every game so far, and Bayern were full of energy. Well played to them for keeping going and good luck to them. We can now put our feet up and have a couple of weeks rest and start 2019 even older!"

DC Prediction: RJC 3 Bayern 2

Billy Lee, Zac Brin and Aaron Goldberg helped promotion-chasing Jewdinese made a big statement of intent, beating a strong Raiders team 3-1 in Wembley.

Charlie Kasler replied for Raiders.

Victorious 'Nese boss Darren Lawrence told JC Sport: "This was a game in which we perhaps did not dominate or play to the best of our ability, but winning ugly is a vital trait to have. We showed great character and togetherness today."

Raiders joint-manager Jake Yudelowitz told JC Sport: "It was a poor performance. They had two chances and scored three goals. We had at least 10 shots on target. Same story."

FAITHFOLD DOC MM B 1 FC TEAM 5

FC Team stunned table-toppers Faithfold B into submission, thanks to goals from Richard Salmon (2), Jon Breger (2) and David Grossman.

Top-scorer Benny Goldberg accounted for Faithfold's consolation.

FC Team player-manager Mitch Young told JC Sport: "It was our best performance of the season against a strong Faithfold team. We were well balanced and clinical in our finishing. Defensively I was very happy (for once) with our shape and discipline and if we can keep this going it would be great.”

SPEC FC 5 SCRABBLE FC B 2

SPEC FC moved to within two points of the summit after crushing Scrabble B 5-2 following a brace from Josh Green, another from top-scorer Zack Neiman, Elliott Wallis and Ricky Lawrence.

Scrabble's goals came through Bradley Lazarus and Lloyd Becker.

SPEC player-manager Ricky Lawrence told JC Sport: "It was maybe our most convincing performance of the season, and although we let Scrabble back into the game on a couple of occasions, having gone into half time 3-0 up, we did enough in the second half to secure the three points and get the nine points out of nine we targeted from our last three games."

Scrabble player-manager Jon Yantin told JC Sport: "We found ourselves 3-0 down at half-time and pulled it back to 4-2. We were left deflated by a harsh penalty decision, which all of SPEC were equally surprised about, which effectively handed them the game. We also lost Rob Kleinman and myself to injury, which didn't help, but SPEC were deserved winners."
