Here are the star men from Division Two from Matchday 2 of the MGBSFL.

articlemain

1.  GIDEON TIANO (Straw Hat Pirates) - "man-of-the-match performance against title favourites Fairlop, made some incredible saves, especially towards the end, proving how much of an asset he is. Crucial diving save towards the end justifies his place in goal and as one of the best keepers in the division

2.  NICK PHILLIPS (Mill Hill Dons) - "a real captain's performance from Phillips today, he was a true leader in the middle of the park and undoubtedly must have covered the most ground in the game, he never stopped running. He looked very calm on the ball and was instrumental in our third goal of the game with a beautiful pass into the feet of Zach Cohen"

3. MARTIN SMULOVITCH (Real Hendon) - player-manager capped a virtuoso performance with a goal of the week contender. Not bad for an ageing left-back!

4. JOSH CINNA (Mill Hill Dons) - "a commanding performance from the debutant today, he made some crucial challenges and interceptions. Looking like a very good signing for the club"

5. HARRY SALTER (Bayern Mincha) - "was like another captain at the back. Commanding performance at the back and cleared everything that came into his path from start to finish. My MOTM

6. AKIVA FINK (Bayern Mincha) - "class in the central defensive mid role. Marshalled the middle of the pitch brilliantly with a very composed and disciplined performance"

7. LIAM STEIN (NL Raiders C) - two goals from centre mid from an influential player who is one of the first on the teamsheet week in, week out

8. JOSH GORB (Hertswood Vale) - "Gorby was on top form against Real. Took his goal well, a powerful shot inside the area which left their keeper with absolutely no chance to open his account for the season. Showed serious desire, winning every single header and challenge that he was presented with"

9. BEN KAYE (NL Raiders C) - put in a tremendous shift and scored a deserved goal against Temple Fortune B

10. ADAM ELLIS (Bayern Mincha) - "the FC Team defence could not contain him. Outstanding performance and unplayable on that form with two goals and an assist on his debut for the club"

11. BEN MANDELL (Straw Hat Pirates) - "Captain returned after a horrific head injury last week that saw him rushed to A&E after 5 minutes. Played the full  90 minutes causing serious danger down the wings and put in the corner for Michael Amsellem to finish!

STAR MAN: Adam Ellis (Bayern Mincha)

TEAM OF THE WEEK: Daniel Holder & Alon Pinhas (Bayern Mincha)
