JC GOAL OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS

- GAV LEVY (Temple Fortune) - beat a man, cut inside and curled with his left foot (wrong foot) into the bottom corner

- JACK VAN GELDER (Redbridge B) - twisted and turned past 4 Scrabble defenders before creating the opening  that was finished clinically with his left foot into the bottom corner. Brilliant play

- AVI MARKIEWICZ (RC UK FC) - on the counter from a corner, Leor Harel found Dovi Vogel who in turn passed to Darra, Darra beat a couple of men and played a dime of a ball across the face of goal and Markiewicz stole in to beat the keeper to the ball and then tap into the empty net. Front to back in 15 seconds

- ELI SHEBSON (RC UK FC) - a ball bounced up high about the 30 yards out,  Shebson took it on his chest and then volleyed a looping screamer into the top right corner over the mountain of a goalkeeper L'Equipe had in nets

- JORDAN HARRIS (Hertswood Vale) - stunning 25-yard lob against Real

----------------------

----------------------

JC SAVE OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS

- LEE FEGAN (Temple Fortune) - made the most amazing save from a 30-yard screamer that looked destined for the top corner, managing to stretch back and tip the ball over the bar

- SAM SINGER (Mill Hill Dons) - an acrobatic save from close range to prevent a header finding the top corner of the net

JC QUOTE OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS

- JON JACOBS (Redbridge A) - "We look forward to meeting London Lions A in the final, I have a detailed dossier on their 200 players that they have available but it is currently bigger than Encyclopaedia Britannica so unable to use it fully. We look forward to seeing Josh Kennet, Austin Lipman and all their Saturday boys for the Maccabi League Cup final which they have richly contributed to"

- DAVID GARBACZ (Hendon A) - "I wouldn’t be wanting to watch the highlights for this one as there pretty much were none. The season cannot end quick enough for us – it really has been a season of two halves – magnificent in the first and absolutely terrible in the second"

- NICK STERN (L'Equipe) - "The truth is the table doesn’t lie and while upset that we lost our unbeaten run we are still champions and we walked of the pitch with our heads held high knowing just two more games till we lift our first ever trophy"

YOUR WEEKEND REVIEW STARTS HERE:

PETER MORRISON TROPHY QUARTER-FINAL

MJSL REP TEAM 2 SOUTH MANCHESTER SPORTS CLUB 1st 3

A penalty from Adam Lavin helped South Manchester come from a goal down to beat the MJSL Reps and set up a semi-final showdown against Lions U21’s next weekend.

Moses Seitler and Gabe Silva had put the Reps in charge, but South hit back through Tom Cantor and the ice-cool Lavin.

South manager Neil Collins said: "it was a great game of football, showcasing the north well. We were lucky today and didn't deserve to progress, but the boys battled and dug deep. It's back to London for us next week, for a change, and we look forward to representing the North in the semis."

Jubilant Redbridge boss Jon Jacobs told JC Sport; "The boys badly want to avenge the 2013 Anekstein final when they lost to Lions.

"We look forward to meeting London Lions A in the final, I have a detailed dossier on their 200 players that they have available but it is currently bigger than Encyclopaedia Britannica so unable to use it fully.

CAMDEN PARK 2 WOODFORD WANDERERS 2

Camden Park condemned Woodford to a bottom-two finish after playing out a 2-2 draw at Hadley FC.

Mike Khalatschi and Kane Gilbery were the marksmen for Camden, while Adam Shafron and Darryl Green accounted for Woodford's goals.

Camden's Stirling Kay told JC Sport: "This was our worse performance so far. Having said that we had plenty of great chances throughout the game and should've won by a mile."

MACCABI LONDON LIONS A 1 HENDON UNITED SPORTS CLUB A 0

Hendon's title hopes are over for another season after they went down by the odd goal against Lions A, with Sam Lewis grabbing the only goal at Rowley Lane.

A Lions spokesman told JC Sport: "Today was all about concentration and desire for Lions – defensively they made life very difficult for a Hendon side, with a pool of talented offensive players and from that they will take a lot of confidence knowing how difficult they are to beat over 90 minutes."

Hendon boss David Garbacz told JC Sport; "I know I sound like a broken record, but once again our injury situation killed us. Not only did we have no subs but two of our 11 starters could barely move, and we found ourselves pretty much going through the motions with only nine men."

DIVISION ONE

ATHLETIC BILBAUM 1 NORTH LONDON RAIDERS B 4

Matt Leader, Jacob Gold, Jake Gilbert and Will Ufland registered as Raiders B returned to the top four following a resounding 4-1 triumph over Bilbaum.

Jacob Brunner won and converted a penalty for the Baums.

NLR boss Jonathan Adelman told JC Sport: "It certainly wasn't one for the purest. The pitch was awful, bobbly and with divots more akin to a driving range! We couldn't play our usual passing game but adapted well to being more direct especially in the second half. Had we been more clinical we probably could have had a hatful, but after a few goalshy weeks I'm just delighted with the win and goals for some of our strikers."

A Bilbaum spokesman told JC Sport: "This was another game where we didn't feel the scoreline fully reflected the game. We went into the game with multiple injuries to our team and the gulf was shown when NLR made a triple sub after 20 minutes. With only three games left we hope to up our commitment levels and end the season on a high."

REDBRIDGE JEWISH CARE B 5 SCRABBLE FC 1

Strikes from Jack Van Gelder, Dan Andrews Brad Gayer, Anthony Cope and Dean Ben Yosef helped Redbridge B secure promotion after completing a quickfire double over promotion rivals Scrabble.

Jubilant RJC boss Sam Rank told JC Sport: "The boys have come on leaps and bound this season. They have bought into my football philosophy, knowledge and love for the game, and it is amazing to be around."

OAKWOOD B P FAITHFOLD A P

Match postponed - Faithfold forfeited

Oakwood boss Jason Stein told JC Sport: "Ultimately it's three points but a shame we couldn't play as we had one of our strongest squads of the season available.

"We have more fixture to play at the very end of April against Finchley City and a win would be the perfect way to bring the curtain down on the season."

DIVISION TWO

BOCA JEWNIORS 0 TEMPLE FORTUNE 4

Lee Fegan kept a fifth consecutive clean sheet as Temple Fortune's promotion bid gathered momentum after they completed a quickfire double over Boca Jewniors with a resounding 4-0 success.

Super-sub Gav Levy bagged a brace, with Eshed Rahav and Michael Goldberg adding the gloss on another good morning for Simon Linden's men.

Fortune boss Simon Linden told JC Sport: "I'm delighted with a fifth clean sheet in a row which is a club record and an incredible achievement by Lee. We took our goals well but did leave it late as it was 1-0 with 15 minutes to go - we should have punished Boca a lot earlier in the game. Defensively we are a well-oiled machine of late which is brilliant to see."

Boca's Anton Nyman told JC Sport: "It was a tough game against a good side and their class showed really. Yes we had spells where we could have done more, and let me them get goals too easily especially at the end when we were guilty of over-committing forwards."

HERTSWOOD VALE 3 REAL HENDON 4

Real Hendon made it two wins on the spin after winning a seven-goal thriller against Hertswood, with goals from Chaim Gothold (2), Benni Sluckis and Gav Noe.

Hertswood's goals came via Harry Graham (2) and Jordan Harris.

Real's boss Chaim Gothold told JC Sport: "We started slowly but recovered superbly from 0-2 down to lead 3-2 at the break. They equalised with about twenty to go but we dug in and the ever dangerous Gav Noe scored a superb winner with five to go.

"It was a really tough pitch to play on which wasn't conducive to good football but we'll take the three points."

Hertswood's Jacob Emanuel told JC Sport: "We were very unlucky to lose. We need to improve our results against the poorer teams in the division to have any chance to making our way up the table next season."

MILL HILL DONS 1 REDBRIDGE JEWISH CARE C 1

Redbridge C's promotion hopes were dealt another blow as they shared the points after a hard-fought contest against the Dons.

Craig Phillips was the marksman for Redbridge, with Jamie Nagioff converting from the penalty spot for the Dons.

Dons boss Brandon Hamme told JC Sport: ""We didn't show up today and were far from our best, however it's a result-based game and a draw against one of the top teams in the league isn't an awful result.

"We will look to end the season strongly with our last game against RC UK, regardless of what happens in that game we can be proud of a strong first season in the league."

RC UK FC 4 L’EQUIPE 2

Champions L'Equipe tasted defeat for the first time in the league this season as RC UK FC kept alive their promotion hopes with an impressive 4-2 victory, courtesy of strikes from Mordy Weiler (2), Avi Markiewicz and Eli Shebson.

Delighted RC UK player-manager Avi Markiewicz told JC Sport: "We showed today and have shown over the course of the season that when we put the effort in we are a real force to be reckoned with."

Andy Smith and Grant Bates found the net for L'Equipe.

L'Equipe's Nick Stern told JC Sport: "With a depleted squad, no goalkeeper, no club captain and me not there either we always knew Sunday would be very hard. I cannot fault the effort of the lads this Sunday and it wasn’t until the final 10 minutes that we conceded two goals. The truth is the table doesn’t lie and while upset that we lost our unbeaten run we are still champions and we walked of the pitch with our heads held high knowing just two more games till we lift our first ever trophy."
