YOUR WEEKEND REVIEW STARTS HERE:

MGBSFL PREMIER DIVISION

FC TEAM A 1 REDBRIDGE JEWISH CARE A 10

Redbridge A gained their biggest win of the season, with James Berkley (2), Nathan Sollosi (2), Dean Nyman (2) helping them destroy FC Team 10-1.

Further strikes from Matt Berkley, Zack Neiman, Daniel Garfinkle and Sam Sollosi added the gloss for Jon Jacobs's title chasers.

Richard Salmon snatched a consolation for a well-beaten FC Team.

Redbridge boss Jon Jacobs told JC Sport: "This was a great game for our goal difference and confidence. There is an embarrassment of riches in the attacking positions which is so exciting to see and a very solid back four to keep things tight so a nice selection headache for once."

HENDON UNITED SPORTS CLUB A 2 BRADY MACCABI 0

Top-scorer Zac Lewis and Moses Seitler fired Hendon United to within a point of table-toppers Oakwood A - who also have three games remaining - following a hard-earned 2-0 win over Brady Maccabi.

Hendon boss David Garbacz told JC Sport; "This was a vital win however, we knew nothing less than three points would do and overall we were more than happy with the win. It sets up a real super Sunday next week. Redbridge vs Hendon and Oakwood vs Raiders. Without kicking a ball ,Oakwood have seen a seven-point lead being reduced to one and any one of three teams can find themselves as title favourites after next week’s games depending on the results."

MACCABI LONDON LIONS A 1 SPEC FC 1

Ben Kaye was on the mark as SPEC FC produced the coupon spoiler of the weekend as they halted in-form Lions A's charge with a brilliant all-round team performance at Rowley Lane, with Adam Arnold earning Lions a point.

Proud SPEC FC player-manager Ricky Lawrence told JC Sport; "It was a great performance from the whole team. We've on the receiving end of some bad results in recent weeks, so to defend like we did against a talented Lions side show was brilliant. Lions may have had all of the ball but I think they'd be fair and say we deserved our point due to how we defended."

A Lions spokesman commented: Perhaps this was a much-needed wake-up call for a Lions side that after some good results prior to the weekend now go into the business end of the season with all still to play for in both cup competitions, where a much-improved performance is required."

WOODFORD WANDERERS 2 CAMDEN PARK 2

Stirling Kay guided Camden Park to a battling 2-2 draw in his first game as their new manager, thanks to efforts from Dan Baneth and David Khalatschi.

Woodford's goals came via Mitch Hahn and Harrison Midda.

Kay told JC Sport: "With the game being played with total commitment from both teams, referee Brandon Peters handled the game very well, allowing the game to flow. Unfortunately for us we had a perfectly good goal disallowed when the ball went over the line, but the referee does’nt have a camera to help him, another time we will get it go our way."

ATHLETIC BILBAUM 1 OAKWOOD B 3

Strikes from Sam Modlin, Kyle Bentwood and James Abrams earned Oakwood B their sixth win of the season as they won 3-1 at Bilbaum.

Oakwood marched into a 3-0 lead before Bilbaum grabbed a late consolation goal.

Oaks boss Jason Stein told JC Sport: "We're pleased to get the job done on a pitch not fit for farm animals. It was a really hard game to get any sort of momentum for because the pitch was so poor. It's not enjoyable.

"That being said a win is a win and that's three in four for us now. "We've got big challenges around the corner with games against Raiders B and Lions B and we need to use those games to show we're better than our form in the big games suggests."

There were also goals for Josh Cramer and Avi Kestenbaum as Blancos secured their biggest win of the season.

Blancos boss Nick Grosse told JC Sport: "The boys produced a solid display. It was also good to keep a clean sheet and score a few goals. It's a shame that we have played much better in recent weeks but not had the same results. The league table simply doesn't do us justice so I was pleased that the lads could walk away winners."

NLR boss Sam Rose told JC Sport: "That’s our season over and I think we can be very pleased with how we acquitted ourselves. The team is in a far better place than it was at the start of the season and we’ll look to push on into next for promotion. Redbridge caused us problems today that we were equal to at every turn, and although it’s a point, it could so easily have been three on a different day. We’ll be looking to 2017/18 with promotion firmly in our sights.”

RJC manager Josh Hambling told JC Sport: "The season is what it is, the league title is all but gone we just want to enjoy the games we have left and finish as high as possible."
