    ----------------------

JC GOAL OF THE WEEK CONTENDERS

    - JAMES NEIDLE (Hertswood Vale) - Being described as "the best team goal seen in MGBSFL history," this was a move that screamed tiki-taka football. Some quick one-touch passing between Cohen, Gorb and debutant Bradley Lobetta on the edge of the box found Gorb who knocked it on to James Neidle who headed in his first goal for the Vale with the help of the post - what he was doing in the opposition box from centre back is anyone's guess!

    - DAVE GROSSMAN (FC Team) - 35-yard strike into roof of net

    ----------------------

JC SAVE OF THE WEEK CONTENDERS

    - JORDAN KARA (Fairlop FC) - either won of two "world-class" saves that preserved a clean sheet against the Lions in the Morrison

    - MAX FREEDMAN (Fairlop FC) - stunning block he made in the first half was as brave as you’ll see and probably won them the game

    - OLI BURCHELL (Mill Hill Dons) - point-blank save with his feet. How the ball didn’t go is beyond anyone watching the game’s belief. The ball looked absolutely destined for the goal but somehow he managed to keep it out. The save was applauded by the Real Hendon players post game

    ----------------------

JC QUOTE OF THE WEEK CONTENDERS

    - DORON SALOMON (NL Raiders B) - "This game was everything we anticipated it would be. Despite Jason's absence from the sidelines, his team were well prepared, up for a battle and tough opposition. Although there was some controversy surrounding the equaliser, I couldn't begrudge Oakwood the draw; a Raiders win wouldn't have been a fair refection on the game"

    - JACOB EMANUEL (Hertswood Vale) - "Our fifth win of the season, and one that equals our points tally from last season. With seven games to go, and 21 available points remaining, we're aiming to continue to look up, as opposed to down"

    - AARON DIAS (Fairlop FC) - "Well, well, well Danny, it's becoming a regular occurrence, you predict us to get beat and what happens? The Boaty boys turn up and win the game"

    - DAN JACOBS (ML Lions Vets) - "Disappointed as we are though in our own failings and the decisions, loads of credit goes to them. For the way they threw themselves in front of everything and for the two  incredible tips their GK made they deserved the luck they got.  And their centre back was the stand out player, the block he made in the first half as brave as you’ll see and probably won them the game. We wish them the very best of luck in the competition"

    - BRANDON HAMME (Mill Hill Dons) - "To get a fourth consecutive clean sheet is something that we couldn’t have dreamed of last season and it’s a real testament to the work we have done on the training ground and our defence"

    - JASON STEIN (Oakwood B) - “Firstly, thanks to Dan Kristall who stepped in admirably for me on no notice after I work commitments got the better of me. Not bad to be able to call in the reigning Premier Division winning manager to assist. His quality showed at the end when, by the sounds of things, he almost physically dragged centre back Max Clynes into the box to head home the equaliser. Why he wasn’t up there already is beyond me!

    - JON YANTIN (Maccabi Masters Reps) - "There was clearly a breakdown in communication. We were of the belief it was a walking football competition and then these teenagers started running around us. We shall be reporting it to the organisers and look forward to the re match at a more sedate pace"

Jonny Rose, co-boss of Manchester told JC Sport: "It was fairly comfortable - the game was won in the first half as we were 3-0 up. We totally dominated, were very well organised and passed the ball well. Our plan was to win the ball high up the pitch and press Brady into errors, and it worked. The second half was about game management - we knew they would come out and attack, as they had to."

Manchester joint-manager Stuart Delmonte told JC Sport: "It was a very good win. From front to back it was a very good team performance. It's fabulous for the club to have "

Disappointed Brady boss Joel Nathan told JC Sport: "We had a very weakened team but made the journey in terrible conditions ... we didn’t help ourselves by going behind to two mistakes and then were in the wrong end of a dreadful decision by the officials just before half-time.

"We rallied in the second half and Stanley Offord scored after about 20 minutes and then missed an open goal, which would have got the nerves going. But in the end we ended up not being good enough on the day. Roll on to next week."

Oaks boss Jason Stein missed the game but had this to say: “By all accounts we played well but once again we were our worst enemy. Missing loads of chances and giving away soft goals. It’s got to get better. Every week we are going out and giving ourselves too much to do."
