The signs looked ominous for L'Orange, who had started the season with back-to-back defeats, when Connor Perl had put Lions in the ascendency with a double, including a stunning 35-yard free-kick.

But a tactical masterstroke from Shafron inspired the comeback, with goals from Liron Mannie, Alex Moss, Joe Cohen with a wonder strike, and Ben Joseph completing the comeback.

Jubilant boss Dan Shafron told JC Sport: "I'm really proud of how much character we showed to come back from 2-0 down and win this game.

"We started tentatively but our confidence grew and we slowly began to use the ball better, take control and create some good chances.

"Joe Cohen's wonder goal and team celebrations will be remembered for a long time however special mentions have to go to Ben Joseph and Alex Moss who had standout performances and were excellent all game.

"It was the result we needed and hopefully this will now kickstart our season and give us the boost we've needed."

Lions boss James Gershfield told JC Sport: "2-0 up, we missed a big chance at 2-2 with 10 minutes to go. They went up the other end and scored. Our heads dropped after that and conceded a fourth."
