FORTHCOMING FIXTURES

CAMDEN PARK vs NORTH LONDON RAIDERS A

It’s hard to get too excited about Sunday’s basement battle. Raiders go into their final league match of a forgettable campaign 10 points ahead of Camden, who have five games in hand.

It’s been strange season for L’Orange. They beat title hopefuls Hendon United in their last outing but were unable to put out a team for Redbridge away the following week.

However, with a Peter Morrison Trophy quarter-final against giantkillers Fairlop on the horizon, it’s important Dan Shafron’s big-match players get a run-out this weekend, as you can be sure Fairlop will be bang up for the cup game.

Camden have also had personnel issues this season. The front pairing of Dan Orgel and Danny Sherman hasn’t produced the goals boss Stirling Kay had hoped for, while midfield hasn’t really fired.

That said, Camden beat Raiders earlier in the season, thanks to a double from Josh Marks, so they will go into the game with no fear.

POSSIBLE SQUADS:

CAMDEN (from): Steve Murad, Ben Harris, Josh Tiano, Theo Azouz, Greg Meller, Max Gordon, Kane Gilbery, Rick Harris, Johann Jordi, David Kanzen, Mike Khalatschi, Josh Marks, Max Saunders, Matt Pearlman, Ricardo Ercoli, Dan Orgel, Danny Sherman

RAIDERS (from): Adam Zaidman, Josh Morris, Rob Blackman, David Rhodes (capt), Joe Cohen, Josh Goldstein, Adam Joselyn, Ben Joseph, Alex Kaye, Jonny Kay, Joe Meisel, Alex Moss, Oscar Wagner, Josh Green, Josh Bharier, Jordan Nathan

Venue – Hadley FC, Ref – Phil Peters, KO – 10am

FORTHCOMING FIXTURES

FAITHFOLD A vs REDBRIDGE JEWISH CARE B

Newly-crowned champions Faithfold will receive the guard of honour in their replayed match against Redbridge B.

If you recall, the original match was abandoned after an injury to RJC’s Daniel Cooper – who hasn’t featured since.

Faithfold produced another strong performance last weekend, though they were unable to deliver a killer second goal against Raiders B, who struck in the final minute to earn a draw.

Player-manager Avi Markiewicz looked sharp up top, while David Leiwy and Ben Shirbini provided great options down the flanks.

But it was goalkeeper Josh Corin, along with centre-backs Josh Wagner and Johnny Wagner who really caught the eye.

Redbridge B have fared well on their travels this season. However, they are not free-scoring and will do well to get any change out of a well-drilled Superhoops backline.

JC team news: Josh Corin looks set for a spell on the sidelines after suffering a broken arm last weekend.

Venue - Hive, Ref – Andy Myerson, KO – 10am

POSSIBLE SQUADS

FAITHFOLD (from): David Garson, Ben Gabay, Leor Harel, Joe Gordon, Avi Mocton, Gideon Caller, Avi Garson, Jonny Leiwy, Eli Shebson, Dovi Vogel, Aron Luftig, Jonny Gahan, David Leiwy, Louis Naghten, Avi Markiewicz, Sam Zerovabeli, Chaim Bordon, Ben Shirbini, Zalmy Cohen, Akiva Solomon, Gav Lewis, Jonny Blain

RJC (from): Brad Grant, Dan Adelman, Paul Biller, Dan Andrews, Jon Fialka, Dan Lassman, James Law, Scott McKenzie, Dan Lipman, Elliot Coulton, Adam Noble, Sam Rank, Antony Cope, Josh Hambling, Dan Gordon, Jacob Kaye, Carl Dobrin, Richard Rosenthal

JC star man: Gav Lewis (Faithfold)

DC Prediction: Faithfold 3 RJC 1

DIVISION TWO

LEAGUE TABLE

FORTHCOMING FIXTURES

BAYERN MINCHA vs TEMPLE FORTUNE B

You have to fear for Temple Fortune B on Sunday. With league top-scorer Adam Ellis in red-hot form, I can see him tearing the visitors apart single-handedly.

Ellis moved on to 31 goals in league and cup after firing his second hat-trick of the season against Catford & Bromley last week.

Goalkeeper Joseph ‘Neuer’ Nyman and Sam Kanter also earned praise from joint-manager Daniel Holder – with holder described as the “best left-back in the league”. Ryan Cole might have something to say about that though ;)

Bayern have won six out of seven at home in the league – averaging four goals a game.

Ellis has scored twice as many as the Fortune team already this season, so damage limitation could be the best bet for the visitors on Sunday.

POSSIBLE SQUADS

BAYERN (from): Joe Nyman, Rafi Terespolsky, Sam Leader, Josh Levy, Akiva Fink, Alon Pinhas, Josh Levy, Eli Davila, Daniel Holder, Joe Metliss, Shmuel Leader, Allon David, Sam Kanter, Sammy Liebert, Adam Ellis, Harry Salter

FORTUNE (from): Lee Fegan, Anthony Beilin, Jacob Kalms, Josh Klepper, Adam Lenz, Eric Lewis, Gab Saul, Oli Segal, Gideon Wetrin, Darren Zitren, Sam Barth, Adam Jacobs, Josh Taylor, Zach Goodman, James Phillips, Jon Pressman, Dan Krieger, Simon Cohen

Venue – Capital City, Ref – Robert Benardout, KO – 10am

JC star man: Sam Kanter (Bayern)

DC Prediction: Bayern 7 Fortune 0

FC TEAM vs STRAW HAT PIRATES

FC Team will be looking to complete a league double over the Pirates when the two sides meet in Borehamwood.

Mitch Young’s men ran out 5-3 winners when the side met in January, when Richard Sternberg and Jon Breger bagged brace.

Team have played more games than the teams in the automatic promotion places, but they remain in touching distance.

Young has done well with a relatively small pool of players, recently boosted by the addition of Ryan Kangisser and Mike Patterson.

The Pirates are still scratching around for results, despite the goal-scoring efforts of Aron Gale. They also have quality in Sim Cohen and Jono Nesbitt but they will need to stick together against a strong opponent.

FC Team are in good form – they go into this match unbeaten in five – and I think they will have too much for the Pirates on the day.

POSSIBLE SQUADS:

TEAM (from): David Gordon, Jamie Breslaw, Eitan Ben-Zion, Jon Breger, Dan Breger, Danny Moss, James Milman, Adam Rones, David Grossman, Jamie Breslaw, Mitch Young, Dylan Young, Richard Salmon, Ryan Kangisser, Ashley Burns, Mike Patterson

PIRATES (from): David Wolinsky, Jake Yudelowitz, Sam Assil, Matt Cohen, Sim Cohen, Jono Nesbitt, Aron Gale, Gideon Gale, Solly Ishack, Ben Mandell, Joel Newman, Saul Tiano, Matt Cohen, Adam Hilsenrath, Barney Rhodes

Venue - Hertswood, Ref – Lee Browne, KO – 10am

JC star man: Marc Hecht (Team)

DC Prediction: Team 4 Pirates 1
