Danny Caro's Team of the Week: October 22

Here are my picks from Matchday Seven of the MGBSFL.

articlemain

1. OLI MISNER (NL Raiders) - "commanded his area" in the win at Oakwood B

2. JOSH MORRIS (FC Team) - "Quickfire hat-trick in second half from right wing-back" against Faithfold

3. JOSH BHARIER (Oakwood A) - four goals and a real livewire against Faithfold

4. GUY WEISSELBERG (Fairlop FC) - "appearing for the first time this season and almost single handedly pocketed Adam Ellis. He made a crunching tackle on the striker early on and barely put a foot wrong throughout his 75-minute cameo"

5. JAMES BERKLEY (Redbridge JC A) - "sensational first-half performance from RJC's "Moussa Dembele. Two great headers and a stunning individual goal from the RJC A steamroller"

6. BEN MANDEL (Hertswood Vale) - "has been nothing but scintillating on his return to the Vale this season after a season-long loan at Straw Hat Pirates. Vale’s answer to Forest Gump is on some serious form, rivalling Millet in both the assists and scoring charts this season. He has a strong commitment to the cause and is a huge team player. Scored the first goal in our comeback at a crucial time, before grabbing his second later on in his secondary no.9 position. On another day could’ve had a hat-trick. Deserves his MAN OF THE MATCH nomination"

7. RICHARD GOLD (ML Lions) - a Kante-esque performance in the Herts Senior County Cup

8. CHARLIE KASLER (NL Raiders) - "technically the best player on the pitch. His free-kick was "ridiculous" and his assist for Gale's winner wouldn't have been out of place in the professional game. Really showed up today. Oakwood couldn't handle Kas"

9. SAM STERN (Jewdinese) - one of three hat-trick heroes in the demolition of Scrabble

10. CONOR PERL (FC Team) - "5 goals, could have had 10 on a different day, including one worldie"

11. ZAC NEIMAN (SPEC FC) - scored four goals against Temple Fortune. What more can you say?

STAR MAN: Josh Bharier (Oakwood A)

MANAGER: Jake Yudelowitz, Gideon Gale, David Isaacs & Tal Cohen (North London Raiders)

REFEREE OF THE WEEK: Neal Cohen (Los Camden B vs Redbridge JC A)
