Danny Caro's Team of the Week: November 27

Oakwood proved too strong for Hendon United to move to within four points of last season's champions, while Los Camden staged a dramatic late comeback against Brady Maccabi. HMH produced a five-star show to blow Faithfold A, while Redbridge Jewish Care B showed great resilience in the cup against holders Maccabi London Lions, before surrendering in extra-time. There were also important victories for Fairlop, North London Raiders, SPEC FC and Temple Fortune, while Division Two leaders Hertswood Vale nicked a point in a game of late goals against old foes Mill Hill Dons. But which players shone to make it into my team of the week?

  1. STEVEN MURAD (Los Camden A) - "Moo put red bull in his Weetabix this morning, Tim Howard's performance against Belgium springs to mind when thinking about this display, his cat-like reflexes, bravery and string of world class saves secured all three points for us and is a strong contender for player of the week"
  2. DANNY FEUER (Hertswood Vale) - "an extremely solid performance from Danny today, snuffing out absolutely everything that came down the right from the Dons. Put his body on the line today, and was forced off the field in added time after being winded following a brilliant aerial challenge. A great servant to the club, and one of the most under-rated players that I’ve had the pleasure of managing"
  3. SAM DEMBY (Mill Hill Dons) - "didn’t put a foot wrong all game, was solid, reliable and managed to make several crucial interceptions. His best performance in a Dons shirt"
  4. ALEX LEE (Oakwood A) - "outstanding at centre-back. His best performance of the season. Never missed a header"
  5. OLLIE CRAIG (ML Lions) - "superb, ensuring the Redbridge attackers barely got a look in, whilst also being calm and composed on the ball
  6. ADAM HAKIMI (Redbridge JC B) - " just a joy to watch in the cup against Lions"
  7. CHARLIE KASLER (NL Raiders) - "dictated the entire game. Assist for Gale’s bullet header was out of this world"
  8. GAB STONE (Temple Fortune) - "this was his best-ever performance in a Fortune shirt. He was relentless in working the left wing and caused the Scrabble defence trouble all day. He always gives us 100 per cent but the difference today was his delivery in the final third which was phenomenal. Capped off the performance with a goal"
  9. KAI VALE (Fairlop FC) - "came on at 0-2 after 20 minutes and helped changed the game. After being played through with the assist of the season from JJ, he dinked the ball past the GK to get us back level (2-2)"
  10. ETHAN KRELL (HMH) - "gave a stunning display on and off the ball with his tireless running and superb positional play"
  11. JOSH CUBY (Oakwood A) - "never stopped running and caused the entire Hendon back-line nightmares throughout"
