JC GOAL OF THE WEEK CONTENDERS

- JOSH COHEN (NL Galaxy) - brilliant drilled finish into bottom corner against Fortune

- SAM STERN (Jewdinese) - stunning strike from the edge of the area

- ARI NEVIES (Hendon Utd) - a corner from Zack Lewis flew over everyone in a congested penalty area. Moses Seitler got to the bouncing ball and his first touch flicked the ball into the air and second a cushioned side-foot volley into the box which Nevies ran onto, twisting in mid air before side footing past the keeper from the penalty spot

- MORDY WEILER (Hendon Utd) - received the ball deep in the Camden half, went round two of their defenders, cut to the outside and with his weaker left foot hit a strike across the keeper into the side-netting

- JOSH HARRIS (Hendon Utd) - United's third goal was a delightful team move - Jordan Mizrahi started with the ball deep and played a 1-2 with Seitler, he the played it into Gav Noe who beat his man pulled it back to Harris who took a touch and finished well for the winner

- TEDDIE LEVENFICHE (HMH) - GOAL 1 - a wonderful flowing move, involving Sam Monjack to Levenfiche to Adam Abadi to Levenfiche who fired home

JC QUOTE OF THE WEEK CONTENDERS

- AVI GOLDBERG (HMH) -  "The arrival of the Lions Saturday brigade only made the will greater and the victory sweeter"

- MAX KYTE (ML Lions) - "HMH grew into the game and started to play nice football as well as battle for every header and tackle. We wish them the best of luck in the final and I would be surprised if they don’t go the distance. They are a good group of boys with a mixture of desire to win and play football, and that will always take you far"

- BRANDON HAMME (Mill Hill Dons) - "Our league campaign this season hasn’t gone as well as we would have hoped, but if we were to secure two cup semi finals that would be more than we could have ever hoped for and that would be a real testament to how much we have improved since the turn of the year"

YOUR WEEKEND REVIEW STARTS HERE:

PETER MORRISON TROPHY SEMI-FINAL

HMH 4 MACCABI LONDON LIONS 0

Teddie Levenfiche scored twice as HMH reached the final of the Peter Morrison Trophy for the first time following a stunning 4-0 win over Lions at the Hive to keep their double hopes alive. Further strikes from Sam Monjack and Adam Abadi completed a memorable morning for Avi Goldberg's men against a Lions team featuring a front three of Adam Bolle, Austin Lipman and Reiss Mogilner.

VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS

HMH boss Avi Goldberg told JC Sport: “I am extremely proud of the whole squad today. They turned up focused, listened intently to the tactics and then executed to perfection. With the midfield trio of Moss, Levenfiche and particularly Monjack in dominant form, we were far superior from the off today. The arrival of the Lions Saturday brigade only made the will greater and the victory sweeter. We are all very proud to be going to the Jewish FA Cup final in our first season in men’s football and to have dispensed with some top teams en route. To win trophies you have to beat the best and today HMH did precisely that.”

Lions joint-player-manager Avi Goldberg told JC Sport: "HMH grew into the game and started to play nice football as well as battle for every header and tackle. We wish them the best of luck in the final and I would be surprised if they don’t go the distance. They are a good group of boys with a mixture of desire to win and play football, and that will always take you far."

LOS CAMDEN A 2 HENDON UNITED SPORTS 3

High-quality goals from defenders Ari Nevies, Mordi Weiler plus Josh Harris saw Hendon registered their ninth league win of the season as they edged past Los Camden, as they double bid gathered momentum.

Proud Hendon boss Jordan Sapler told JC Sport: "“This was a very tough game. People often say that Hendon don’t like to play a physical team and can get bullied but today we showed that we can give as much as we can take. It was a battle out there and we had to fight hard to come away with a win."

Dan Orgel scored both goals for Los Camden. Boss Stirling Kay told JC Sport: "I cannot fault the way my lads played today, from start to finish they executed the game-plan. "Unfortunately ill-discipline cost us - we conceded two goals today when we had sin-binned men off the pitch."

OAKWOOD A 3 FAITHFOLD DOC MM A 0

Ben Peppi, Josh Cuby and Josh Bharier steered Oakwood to their eighth win of the season as they overpowered Faithfold 3-0 at Silver Jubilee Park.

Oaks joint-manager Dan Kristall told JC Sport: "A very comfortable win and a good performance in the main. Although, I felt we lacked that cutting edge and composure in their box. If we'd used the ball better in the final third, the scoreline would have been far higher. Overall, this was a good workout as our preparation for Wingate continues."

BARRY GOLDSTEIN TROPHY ROUND ONE

FAITHFOLD DOC MM C 2 MILL HILL DONS 7

Mill Hill Dons kept their hopes of a cup double alive after finishing in seventh heaven against Faithfold C.

A hat-trick from ISAAC VIRCHIS plus one apiece from Jamie Nagioff, Adam Bowman, Richard Reback and Sam Stead set up a quarter-final showdown against rivals Hertswood Vale.

Faithfold's goals came via Chaim Kraus (2) and Josh Marlow.

Delighted Dons' boss Brandon Hamme told JC Sport: "A great performance from the boys today. We were in in control and disciplined throughout. It was a real professional performance and played some great football despite playing on a pitch that made it difficult to do so. The game showed how much we have improved since our last visit to Tempsford in November - it was like watching a completely different team. It was a valuable experience in which I got the chance to try out different options. We now move onto the next round and one game away from another semi-final. Our league campaign this season hasn’t gone as well as we would have hoped but if we were to secure two cup semi-finals that would be more than we could have ever hoped for and that would be a real testament to how much we have improved since the turn of the year."

Faithfold's Ben Kfir told JC Sport: "If it wasn’t for my terrible performance in goal the scoreline would have been very different."

DC Prediction: Faithfold 0 Dons 4

BARRY GOLDSTEIN TROPHY QUARTER-FINALS

JEWDINESE 3 SCRABBLE FC B 1

Joe Meisel, Sam Stern and Arron Goldberg were the marksmen as youth overcame experience, with Jewdinese securing their place in the semi-finals with a 3-1 win over second division Scrabble FC B.

'Nese's quick start was rewarded with a goal in the fourth minute. A Sim Cohen corner was expertly headed home by Meisel. A corner a minute later almost led to another goal, but birthday boy James Van Straten’s header was well saved. A few more half chances came before the Zebras doubled their lead with 10 minutes of the half to go. Some good wing play from Barney Rhodes who passed the ball inside to Stern. He took one touch away from his defender before rifling a powerful strike past the keeper from just outside the area.

Scrabble halved the deficit on the strike of half-time when a free-kick on the halfway line was knocked to the back post where it was headed back across and headed in by goal-poacher Alex Bourne.

The Zebras secured the tie ten minutes into the second half, a through ball was played towards the Scrabble box. The keeper game out to clear but only cleared as far as  Goldberg, who had an open goal to finish into, although did well to control his first time finish from roughly 25 yards out.

Billy Lee then fired against the top of the crossbar and Scott Oldstein was denied by a last-ditch tackle but it was 'Nese celebrating at the end.

Victorious boss Darren Lawrence told JC Sport: "Overall, I’m obviously delighted to be through into the semi-finals. In terms of the performance, the second half was much much better. We know that there will be three very good teams we could face in the semi-finals, so we will need to raise our game sufficiently.”

Scrabble player-manager Jon Yantin told JC Sport: "Jewdinese were good but we made them work hard for it. In the end 3-1 was not too shabby, considering they average 22/23 years and we average 42/43."

DC Prediction: Jewdinese 2 Scrabble 1

NORTH LONDON GALAXY 4 TEMPLE FORTUNE 0

Super-subs Josh Cohen and Jacob Leigh bagged braces to ease North London Galaxy into the next round against crushing Temple Fortune 4-0.

Fortune provided stubborn resistance in the first half, but a fantastic second 45 won Galaxy. Cohen opened the scoring with a screamer into the bottom corner from outside the box. Cohen added his second, slotting home a one-on-one before Leigh also got a brace with a rebound goal and a superb header finishing a great team move.

Jubilant Galaxy player-manager Luke Lewis told JC Sport: "Into the semis we go. With a formational change at 0-0 at half-time, we dominated the second half and scored four times."

DC Prediction: Galaxy 2 Fortune 0

==============

NORTH LONDON RAIDERS 5 SPEC FC 2

Deadly doubles from top-scorer Aron Gale and Josh Bloom sent North London Raiders into the last four at the expense of SPEC.

NLR's David Isaacs told JC Sport: "Everyone today was superb - the first half ended up being a very hard fought battle and we went into the break at 1-1, but in the second half our quality really showed where Aron and Josh both scored braces." The evergreen Aviel Schwarz was NLR's other scorer.

SPEC's goals came via Josh Green and Sam Martin. Player-manager Ricky Lawrence told JC Sport: "We just didn't quite have enough overall today. Raiders kept the ball better and that little bit of quality told. It was a good game and I'd say 5-2 was probably a tad harsh but good luck to them in the next round."

DC Prediction: Raiders 3 SPEC 1
