Further strikes from Dovi Fehler, Josh Harris and Yehuda Korman added the gloss for David Garbacz's men who moved four points clear after thrashing FC Team.

Delighted Hendon boss David Garbacz told JC Sport: "We are literally on fire at the moment We were totally dominant throughout - I can't remember more than once when they ventured into our box and we looked likely to score every time we went forward.

"We kept the ball superbly and had a thoroughly enjoyable morning. Zac Lewis produced an absolute finishing master-class. Every time he picks the ball up 20 yards out with a couple of defenders in front of him you know he is going to score. It is an incredible feeling - he was so good I felt like taking him off as it just wasn't fair to the opposition. All of his goals were brilliant, but it wasn't just about Zac. The whole team played with great confidence and it was a joy to watch.

"We must not let our standards drop - we want to consolidate our position at the top and that means this type of quality week in, week out.

"If we can keep it up we will be incredibly hard to overhaul. Congratulations to my boys today - simply magnificent."

FC Team manager Mitch Young told JC Sport; "When we do not have our strongest 11 against the top three sides in the division, I need everyone to perform to their best. I'm not one of my players were anywhere near that today and we were deservedly beaten.

"Our use of the ball, when we won it back, was the worst I have ever seen from my team and we must be braver in possession against the better teams.

"Hendon are an excellent young side and Lewis's finishing and composure is tremendous.

"This brought an end to a great run we had been on and now all focus is on the Morrison tie against SPEC FC when we look to welcome back some of our big players."
