A goal in each half from Simon Peterman and Gav Noe saw Hendon set up another clash against holders Oakwood.

Hendon forged ahead in the first half at Hadley FC, when after a great Zack Lewis set-piece found Peterman who headed into the bottom corner for a deserved half-time lead.

The home side scored the killer second in the second half when good work on the wing by Dovi Fehler saw him play in Noe who finished well.

Jubilant Hendon boss Jordan Sapler told JC Sport: "It was a great performance in a real old-fashioned cup tie, played in a swirling wind, rain and hail throughout, but both teams but in a real shift and battled extremely well."

Lions joint-manager Max Kyte told JC Sport: "It was a much deserved win for Hendon who played the conditions. It was like the Hendon players listened to our game-plan and played it perfectly, whereas our players did what they wanted.

"Alex Taylor at centre back was terrific, however, and probably had the best performance of one of our players this season, and Jack Franks made some blinding saves to stop the scoreline being worse.

"Russell Corin, however, might as well have taken a weekend holiday as I don’t think he was forced to make a single save.

"We wish Hendon the best of luck in the final. Hopefully we can turn things around for next Sunday’s Peter Morrison Trophy semi-final against HMH."
