PMT final preview: Haroldeans player profiles

Haroldeans from Liverpool will be flying the flag for the Manchester Jewish Soccer League as they attempt to overcome the odds and win the Jewish FA Cup for the first time. Having secured the first part of a possible quadruple - by lifting the Harold Feldman Trophy - Mike Bloomberg's men start as underdogs against Maccabi London Lions White.

HAROLDEANS PLAYER PROFILES

JARED CLEIN (GK) – 17-years-old, first season in senior football, six consecutive clean sheets. Plays colts cricket for Lancashire 

STEVE RUBIN (LB) – played for club for several years, very high fitness levels. Work-horse.

ADAM CROSS (CB) – back-up goalkeeper, long-serving player, very good on ball and in the air.

ADAM TAYLOR (RB/CB) – tough-tackling, athletic and no-nonsense defender.

BEN KERSH (CB) – student, quiet off the pitch but a beast on it. Reliable left foot.

SEAN COOPER (LB/LM/midfield) – another talented teenager with bags of pace and good on the ball.

MAX BENMAYOR (RB) – youngster in his second season, returns from suspension.

PAUL HARRIS (CM) – energetic captain, leads from the front, gets around pitch well.

ZACK GOLDSMITH (CM) – impressive performer, best player for the team this season, has added goals to his game. Likely to captain in Paul Harris’ absence.

ADAM BOYARS (CDM) – marshalls the defence and breaks up play well.

MAXIM GREEN (CM) – former Lions player and has represented Maccabi GB, very talented and fast winger.

JACK BOOKEY (CDM) – left-footed defensive midfielder, strong and skilful

MAX BARNETT (CAM) – MJSL Young Player of the Year 2016/17, scored in quarter-final against Redbridge, likes a tackle, like to surge forward.

EDEN HARRIS (CM) – used to play in goal, now excels outfield. Match-winner in semi-final victory in Manchester.

ADAM SHIFFMAN (CF) – leading scorer, natural finisher. Potential match-winner doesn’t need an invitation to shoot.

BOBBY FISHEL (CF) – honest, hard-working and unselfish

JORDAN BROOKES (RM) – poses a threat, loves to beat his marker, chips in with goals.

TAYLOR MOSS (Striker) – skilful, scored in last couple of matches.

MIKE BLOOMBERG (Manager) – second season managing first team. Finished playing for Haroldeans Vets three years ago. Debuted for the club 45 years ago, aged 15.
