Here are the star men from Division Two of the MGBSFL on Matchday 5 of the season.

articlemain

1. SAUL TIANO (Straw Hat Pirates) - "a solid performance from Tiano at RB suddenly became a solid performance from Saul Tiano in between the posts after stand-in keeper went off injured. Immediately offered to go in selflessly putting the team first and put in a great performance in both positions"

2. HEZZIE RAYMOND (Real Hendon) - "ran his heart out up and down the wing" against Premier Division Lions

3. JAMES VAN STRATEN (Straw Hat Pirates) - "a new signing who immediately proved how much of an a asset he is going to be for the squad. The scouting department at Straw Hat HQ found this gem of a free agent and today's rock solid performance showed how much of a talent he is and an asset he will be going forward"

4. RICHARD ADAMS (Catford & Bromley) - "top-class performance on his return to the team after a year out"

5. GAVIN FOX (Catford & Bromley) - "outstanding in centre defence and bar the goal look in total control" against the Dons

6. JAKE DAYAN (Bayern Mincha) - "commanding performance in the middle of the park"

7. BEN ROSEN (Straw Hat Pirates) - "a solid debut from one of our latest signings. Flirted with us in pre-season but Lions managed to tempt him back for the start of the season as he has a long history with Rowely Lane. However, secret meetings took place and Rosen was able to join at the last minute and produced a man-of-the-match display helping dictate our play and got a goal to show for it"

8. SAMUEL LEADER (Bayern Mincha) - "ruled the midfield"

9. DANIEL ROSEN (Fairlop FC) - "played very well" against Boca

10. KAI VALE (Fairlop FC) - "beautiful left foot wand is costing the club a fortune in matchballs!"

11. ALEX SHERR (NL Raiders C) - "worked hard and deserves reward for his endeavour"
