Maccabi London Lions cup final pen pics

One of the powerhouses of Jewish football, all eyes will be on the MLL team-sheet ahead of kick-off at The Maurice Rebak Stadium on Sunday.

DAVID SACAL (GK) - Mexican keeper has been unfortunate with injuries this season, but after surgery in Detroit he’s back for today’s final.

JAMES GERSHFIELD (GK) - Unable to break into the squad as an outfielder this season. Gersh selflessly filled in between the sticks after much frustration on the touchline. Wish him a speedy recovery.

DAVID KOSKY (GK) - Committed as ever to the cause, only when he doesn't have a business meeting at 11am on a Sunday morning.

MAX HASSELL (D) - After “an early season altercation” with the Lions board, Max helped propel the side past Hendon in the cup quarter-final with match-winning tackle that we will never forget.

ALEX TAYLOR (D) - Consistent and committed all season long. As long as he doesn't try any Eric Cantona-esque flying kicks he should last the full 90 minutes.

JON ELLIS (D) - As long as he doesn't try to “kiss” any of the opposition in a Glaswegian manner, he too should last the full 90 minutes.

CAM MOST (D) - Currently on the missing persons list. 5'9, brown hair, often seen on TV dating shows - If you have seen him please contact the club.

NICK SMITH (D) - Thankful that today's match is not on 3G, otherwise Nick’s old knees might have trouble getting out the penalty box.

WILL BERESFORD (D/Assistant-manager) - Most likely going to be calling for a header two hours after the game has finished. Was honoured to be offered the assistant-manager’s role.

RICHARD GOLD (D/M) - The “better-looking, ginger” Gold brother. Hoping that he returns in time from his 20th holiday this year. Don’t park your car behind the goal Richard is shooting towards!

BEN LAMPERT (M/Captain) - Being the most consistent trainer in the squad, the management were left with no other option than to make Lamps the skipper for today.

JAMIE JACKSON (M) - Had his hair cut and “eye brows trimmed” for today’s big game. MJ (his father) has made the trip down from Glasgow today; hopefully he arrives to the game on time while Jacko is still on the pitch!

SAM ARGHEBANT (M) - another one who's had his "eyebrows trimmed" for today, "along with his chest hair and armpits". Sam drives the second nicest car in the team.

ADAM ABADI (M) - The only person in the history of the club to bring his girlfriend to a training session on a cold Wednesday night in Borehamwood. He knows how to spoil his other half.

HARRY MARLOW (M) - Youngest member of the squad. Aka Hector Bellerin’s brother. "Rescued from our lovely neighbours” at Belstone.

JAMES GOLD (M/S) - The “uglier Gold brother,” formerly known as Jimmy Goals. He is a brave man, always willing to nominate himself for a penalty.

ADAM BURCHELL (M/S) - Another youngster to come through the Lions youth system. Maybe not as quick as he used to be, perhaps he should put the PlayStation away when he's meant to be revising.

ADAM ARNOLD (M/S) - Just hoping 'Arny' turns up before half-time and not in the same clothes he was partying in last night. He was praying for an afternoon kick-off.

AUSTIN LIPMAN (M/S)- Former Arsenal U21 star has never played in the Cyril Anekstein Cup before this season. Has loved every minute of it and can’t quite believe he is here today.

JOSH KENNET (M/S) - Hoping to sneak his way into today's cup final squad. Josh has been ever present when called upon this season.

MAX KYTE (S) - Knocked Lions A out of the Peter Morrison Trophy earlier in the season. Owes his team-mates big time.

SAM LEWIS (S)- Scorer of one of Lions goal of the season contenders. Sam is still dreaming about “that strike” one Sunday morning a few weeks ago at Oakwood.

RYAN SPRINGER (Manager) - “Persuaded” to retire from playing earlier than he expected. Has enjoyed chasing every player mentioned above five times a week to play on a Sunday morning. Thinking about signing a two-year contract extension.

Unavailable: Ollie Craig (missing), Elliott Stern (fighting in a charity boxing match on Sunday afternoon), Brad Sharp (injured). And a big thank you to Jack Mattey, Max Misrahi, Sam Hammerton and Reuben Rabstein for helping the Lions in the semi-final. "We wish these boys well and thank them for their big effort for helping us get here today."

Club colours: Lions be in an all white kit

Mascots: Mila and Levi Springer and Harry Ellis
