Victory sees Oaks claim highest finish

Dan Seligman and Louie Libbert were the marksmen as Oakwood B brought down their curtain on another solid season with a 2-1 victory at home to Los Blancos.

The win was enough to earn Oakwood third place in the table, and was their eighth success of the campaign.

Delighted Oaks boss Jason Stein told JC Sport: "We're thrilled to beat Blancos and secure the highest-ever finish for Oakwood B. Big well done to Simon Field, and also Dan Kristall, who both managed the side in my absence.

“That was a huge win for us to seal third place. I made it clear pre-match how ridiculous it was that Blancos and Oakwood were level, given they’d had so many walkover wins. And I’m thrilled for the second time this season we’ve come away from them with a win.

“I know they came into the game hoping to be promoted, so it shows how up for it they were. We end the season with our highest ever finish and back to back away wins. Plenty to build on.”
