Vale get another point on the board

Hertswood Vale continued their good run of form with a point maintaining their top five credentials against Catford.

Vale came from 2-1 down to earn a point in a thriller against the Cats. Josh Gorb put Vale ahead in the 28th minute but Catford grabbed two goals just before half time.

Vale nicked a point in the 92nd minute; Josh Cohen tricked his way into the box, with Jack Shulman’s pressure on a Catford defender forcing him to put the ball through his own net.

Vale joint-manager Jacob Emanuel told JC Sport: In fairness to Catford, they played their long-ball tactics to a tee, and I imagine that Jeff “Tony Pulis” Gotch will be disappointed not to have won this one.

"We didn’t turn up at all but we’ll absolutely take a point in our quest to finish fifth."
