Fairlop give Real the runaround

Fairlop sealed their second big win in a week as they put in a five-star show against Real Hendon, with goals from James Jaconelli (2), Bradley Gayer and Daniel Rosen on the scoresheet.

Fairlop's Kane Hopps told JC Sport: "Filling in for gaffer Aaron Dias for the week, I’ll keep it short and sweet due to our clubs media sabbatical, but I would just like to say it’s always wonderful to watch your side win 5-0 away from home, and also see your supposed rivals get thumped 4-0.”

NLR's Rafi Addlestone conceded "Fairlop were the better side," but praised the home for "a battling performance".

He went on to say: "Gilad Kestenbaum was outstanding in the defence, playing the ball on the floor and dribbling out of tackles with aplomb.

"Otherwise, we saw Jordan Alex put in a good shift and a battling debut from Harley Patoff.

"We look forward to the return of some big name players for upcoming fixtures."
