Deadly Dons ride their luck

Braces from Adam Isaacs and Zach Cohen kept the Dons two points clear as they romped to their 10th win in 11 games after easing past Real Hendon.

Proud Dons boss Brandon Hamme told JC Sport: "I'm very happy with the boys performance today, conditions were very tough but we stuck in and put in a very solid performance.

"To get a fourth consecutive clean sheet is something that we couldn’t have dreamed of last season and it’s a real testament to the work we have done on the training ground and our defence.

"Next week we welcome Real Hendon back to our place, we will be doing our best to replicate our performance from today."

Real's Rafi Addlestone believes luck was against the hosts, and told JC Sport: "I'm sure the league leaders would admit that the score line flattered them. Benny Goldberg hit two posts. Martin Smulovitch was denied by a wonder save from thrree yards out. Jordan Alex went close more than once. Lolu Hibbert had a fabulous free kick tipped onto the bar.

"On a boggy pitch, the youthful exuberance of the Dons won throw this week, and whilst we don't go in to next week's rematch flying high, we are quietly confident that the score line will better reflect the relative parity between the teams."

REAL: Raffy Zysblat, Gali Kolt, Dorron Shooter, Martin Smulovitch, Jordan Alex, Benjamin Goldberg, Joseph Goldberg, Chaim Strom, Motty Korman, Zvi Noe, Joel Kutner

DONS: Burchell, Newman, Cinna, Phillips, Lisberg, Rinsler, Nagioff, Reback, Weldon, Cohen, Isaacs. Subs: Kalms, Ben-Harosh, Kramer

    SCORERS: Isaacs 2, Cohen 2
