Oakwood joint-manager Dan Kristall told JC Sport: "This was a brilliant away win at in-form Lions. Even with our injury list, we have such a fantastic squad and were able to call on a couple of blasts from the past.
"This feels like a big win - we drew with them three weeks ago at home and could easily have lost that game, but we stepped up a level and dominated from the first whistle."
Oakwood "really should have been 4-0 up by half-time" and with 25 minutes to go, they looked a little nervy with the 1-0 lead but as soon as the second goal arrived they never looked back.
Kristall added: "I felt the way we pressured their back four into making mistakes all game long and caused them problems all over the pitch from the minute. We dominated the midfield and used our wide men to run at Lions effectively.
"We also used the bench well with all subs impacting the game positively.
"This game shows how strong our squad is. With a lot of big-hitters missing, we benefited hugely from having Thomas Prais back (we've missed him this year) and special thanks to Eddie Manson to came in for Lee Warner at left-back. Eddie used all of his experience with a solid display.
"We now have a long gap to try and recover some of the injured players for the clash with title favourites Hendon. Whatever squad we put out, we will be ready for the game!"
