These are just a few of my favourite things:

For the home:

Ottolenghi's new range of linen and tableware (below left) in a range of funky colours would be welcome in my home any day www.ottolenghi.co.uk;

Little people will love the Mini Montii water bottle which comes in several colours - because little girls need to drink pink. Or yellow. £25 www.eatwell-uk.co.uk

Brighten up your morning coffee with a BIA bling mug (£39.95 for 4 www.notjustjugs.com) or jazz up your parties with an Astrid cocktail glass (£19.95 for 2 www.prezzybox.com)

To eat/drink:

Carluccio's Pitta 'mpigliata is a dried fruit tart made with olive oil pastry which would make a fabulous host gift £10.95 www.carluccios.com

Cocoa Runners' kosher artisan chocolate selection is ideal for any gourmet chocophile in your life. You can even have it sent straight to their door - genius! £24.95 www.cocoarunners.com

Oenophiles - wine lovers to you and me - will be able to thank you all year when you sign them up for a subscription to the Refined Wine Club. they'll receive a personally curated box of four bottles of kosher wine four times a year. What's not to like? From £99.99 (plus delivery charges) www.refinedwineclub.com

Forman's have come up trumps this year  - not only do they do the BEST smoked salmon, but they now also make yummy potato latkes. Not only that but they also do a gourmet apple sauce laced with cider brandy £7.14. (You could send someone the best hamper EVER.) Also available this year is smoked salmon oil  - oooh - the possibilities! Did I mention that they deliver to your door? www.formanandfield.com

Another great gift for chocolate lovers is a selection box of kosher hand made chocolates from Kennards Chocolate. They also offer a subscription so it could be the gift that keeps on giving... Single box of 24 chocolates £20 www.kennardschocolates.com

Something a bit different

This Fusion brands' Herb Zipper from Borough Kitchens is just one of the many gadgets they well that you never knew you needed but now must have! £7.50 www.boroughkitchen.com

Also from those clever people is this stylish travel mug to take that perfect coffee to go Kinto Travel Mug £32.26 www.boroughkitchen.com

A Pepara iPrep tablet stand will save you covering your gadget in stick kitchen goo when you try to take a look, mid-recipe. £25.00 www.johnlewis.com

These Donut Socks are ideal to keep you in the Chanukah spirit but without the calories £12.99 www.prezzybox.com

For the avid cook:

Leah Koenig's little book offers some huge flavours: Little Book of Jewish Feasts (Chronicle Books) £13.99

Ren Behan's book is proudly Polish but shows just how many of our traditional dishes mirror her cuisine - a delightful read Wild Honey and Rye (Pavillion) £20

This is perhaps my favourite of Ottolenghi's books - perhaps because so many of the recipes really are easier than many of us usual offerings. Ottolenghi Simple (Ebury Press) £25

Black Sea is a beautiful book from Caroline Eden that focusses on the food of the countries surrounding the Eastern European sea. Again, quite a bit of Jewish crossover and interesting stories to enjoy Black Sea (Quadrille) £25
