The neutraliser

articlemain

Beige, cream, stone, aka the parev shades of the colour spectrum, have never really had much of a powerful feel until now. Long gone are the days that neutrals are chosen simply for easy colour matching. This season, fashion draws back to its simplistic and rawest form. Think ballet-dancer nude shades with just the right amount of flesh tones that stops your complexion looking cold and deathly.

Add warmth by mix and matching your nude palette rather than keeping with one shade. Camel tones are your safest bet.

Team with gold accessories to add richness to the look. However, you may struggle with your choice of footwear. Keep to tans and blush colours rather than bold black and navy, which are too strong and overwhelming against your paired-down clothes.

And lastly, be warned, if you're within 100 yards of a young child, you're trialling this trend at your own risk. At least the dry cleaners will thank you!
