Ben Gilbey believes FC Team can be proud of finishing fifth after a hat-trick from SHIM BENSOOR ensured they finished above 2013 champions Faithfold in the Premier Division following victory in an 11-goal thriller against fourth-placed Harmen.

Further strikes from David James Cohen, Jon Weisz and Jamie Cooper added the gloss for Ben Gilbey's boys.

Inspired by a treble from DANIEL GREEN, Harmen led 4-3 at half-time, with Ben Weinberg also on target, while Harry Fine registered his first-ever goal for the club.

Team head coach Ben Gilbey told JC Sport: "It was a goal-filled game, and really was a typical Sunday League football match. Both teams threw caution to the wind and at half-time, it was 4-3 to Harmen.

"We regrouped at the break, came out stronger and walked the second half. FC Team actually controlled the game but there were many defensive errors, which kept allowing Harmen back into the game.

"I am very happy with the win which cements our position in fifth, which is a really good achievement for FC Team."

Harmen joint-manager Joel Alterman told JC Sport: "It is disappointing to end the season with a loss. However, we are proud of what we have achieved this year and it gives us a great platform to build on for next season.

"It's time to enjoy the break before our pre-season begins in a couple of months’ time."
