MGBSFL DIVISION TWO
FC TEAM C 2 REDBRIDGE JEWISH CARE B 4
Redbridge B got back to winning ways with two-goal hero Nathan Sollosi helping them FC Team C's 100 per cent record in a thriller at Old Camdenians.
The visitors went into the game after their first league defeat last week. They spent the first 15 minutes on the back foot against a rampaging Team, with James Joseph leading the line brilliantly. It was his cross that led to a simple tap-in to put Team 1-0 up .
This was the wake-up call Redbridge needed and they then took control with great interplay between the Sollosi brothers, James Berkley and marshalled by the svelte Sam Rank.
It was from some neat interplay that led to the ball being fed to Scott Oldstein whose smart cross was met by the onrushing colossus that is Jordan Sapler for a simple tap in.
Half time came with both teams trying to play football and the game tight. Redbridge then moved into the ascendancy, but were undone by a ball over the top that Joseph neatly controlled and lobbed the stranded Kemp in the Redbridge goal.
RJC boss Jon Jacobs didn’t think his troops would respond again, but this merely paused their play and then they went again. The equaliser came from a deflected finish by Sollosi whose influence on the game was growing as he has moved to a central position.
The hard-working Adam Goldman then got his reward for his non-stop effort with a smart finish from six yards out, but the comeback and game was completed by the best player on the pitch. Picking up the ball from 20 yards out , Sollosi used minimal backlift and smashed the ball in to the corner to beat the keeper.
FC Team's goals came through Shim Bensoor and James Joseph.
Redbridge boss Jon Jacobs told JC Sport: "Sticking to our footballing principles, a very disciplined performance against the previously unbeaten Team C.
"Football is the winner with a divine finish from Nathan Sollosi the cream on top."
