JC GOAL OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS
- KYLE BENTWOOD (Oakwood A) - sensational swerving volley into the top corner from 35 yards. Hit it perfectly, and it stayed it. Arthur Caplin didn't move
- BRAD WINE (Oakwood A) - brilliant swivel and shot into the top corner against Hendon
- ALEX LEE (Oakwood A) - superb technical to float a free-kick into the top corner
- ROCKY SPITZER (Hendon A) - it took a brilliant long-range strike to beat the outstanding Dean Caplin
- JOSH BHARIER (Scrabble FC) - a brilliant crossfield ball from Dan Green which Bharier controlled on his chest and then his feet noticing the Oakwood keeper slightly off his line he launched a blistering curling shot into the roof of the net from 45 yards out
- ROB SAMUELSON (NL Raiders C) - a lovely right footed shot just outside the box into the top right hand corner
- ANDY COHEN (NL Raiders C) - a lovely cushioned header across the goal
- JOSH COHEN (Hertswood Vale) - Jack Shulman brought a long ball down superbly, he ghosts past one player, lays the ball off to Cohen 30 yards out who hits it first-time into the top corner. The ball started a good two yards outside the post and couldn't have been more top corner! Jordan Henderson vs Chelsea-esq

JC SAVE OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS
- JOEL SINCLAIR (Mill Hill Dons) - miracle save. I've seen our goalkeepers make some unbelievable saves this season and this was another one to add to the list, a shot inside the box was fired in like a bullet and somehow Joel managed to react quick enough to acrobatically turn the ball over the ball. Beautiful save
- BRETT STEAD (Temple Fortune) - made a huge save at 1-0 up at the end of the first half
- ALEX DAVIES (South Manchester) - brilliant save in the penalty shoot-out to take his team through
- JAMES HARPIN (ML Lions B) - having been harshly adjudged to have conceded a penalty, he made amends by diving to his right to parry acrobatically with his feet
- JAKE DOFFMAN (NL Raiders A) - "Remarkable save, and probably his best of the season. A fiercely driven shot from 12 yards out looked as though it was going in to the bottom left-hand corner, however Jake got down quickly and managed to palm the ball away from danger. Special moment from the Raiders No. 1 that would be admired even at the highest level of football"

JC QUOTE OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS
- BRANDON HAMME (Mill Hill Dons) - "Last time we played Catford we lost 6-0, this time we have come away with all three points, this truly showcases how much we have improved as the season has gone on"
- AVI MARKIEWICZ (RC UK FC) - QUOTE 1 - "Mazel tov to Eli Shebson, who is getting married, but it almost caused us to call the game off after being unable to raise enough players. That would've been such a waste after the win over Oakwood, and so some of the players who originally pulled out made the extra effort to get down for the game (even if they were a little hungover, Dudi!)"
- AVI MARKIEWICZ (RC UK FC) - QUOTE 2 - "Although it may be the goal-scorers who are mentioned, it was the defensive players who really won that game for us. The shape and discipline was first-class the entire game. Not a mistake all match, soaked up pressure and used the ball smartly when on it. Thank God I didn't promise the first round on me again if we win like I did last time ... cost me an absolute fortune. The Roses go marching on"
- RAY ABRAHAMS (Scrabble FC) - "It's always a pleasure to play against Oakwood as they are a top set of guys led by a top manager and who are also a club that play the game in the right spirit and the right way"
- DAN KRISTALL (Oakwood A) - “It’s never been so competitive for places than it is right now. We will have some difficult decisions to make this Sunday with absent players returning but that is a healthy position to be in"
- DAVID GARBACZ (Hendon A) - "On the plus side I think we go into next week’s return match with all the momentum – we will have some important players back who were missing today – we were only able to name 11 men today with two more late pull-outs – and there is no doubt that next week’s match now represents a virtual cup final for both teams"
- MAX SAUNDERS (Camden Park) - "Rob Hershkorn (who apprently "didn't have a sniff") was our scorer and also hit the post"

YOUR WEEKEND REVIEW STARTS HERE:
PETER MORRISON TROPHY ROUND FOUR
CAMDEN PARK 1 RC UK FC 3
A deadly double from player-manager Avi Markiewicz inspired second division RC UK FC to the shock of the day as they sent Premier Division Camden Park tumbling out.
Gideon Caller added the gloss on a memorable day for the league new boys, with Rob Hershkorn firing a consolation for Camden.
A jubilant Markiewicz told JC Sport; "Although it may be the goal-scorers who are mentioned, it was the defensive players who really won that game for us. The shape and discipline was first-class the entire game. Not a mistake all match, soaked up pressure and used the ball smartly when on it. Thank God I didn't promise the first round on me again if we win like I did last time ... cost me an absolute fortune. The Roses go marching on."
Camden player-manager Max Saunders told JC Sport; "I am not going to take any credit away from RC UK FC, at the end of the day they wanted it more than us and fully deserved their win. However, I would imagine it would have been a completely different game had we played on a surface remotely resembling a football pitch. That was the worst 'pitch' I think we've ever played on, it completely ruined the game. But we also weren't good enough, especially in the second half and RC UK FC defended well."
DC Prediction: Camden 2 RC UK 2 (Camden to win in extra-time)

MANCHESTER MACCABI UNDER-23's 0 NORTH LONDON RAIDERS A 1
Raiders remain on course to win the Jewish FA Cup for the first time after Adam Joselyn's strike settled a hard-fought contest against Manchester Maccabi under-23's team at Brooklands.
Manchester started the game well but NLR set up compact and knew that on a difficult pitch.
NLR created a few good chances in the first half but were unable to convert. The decisive goal came five minutes into the second half. Manchester had a couple of good chances to get back in to the game, most notably an effort that Jake Doffman kept out incredibly.
NLR boss Dan Shafron told JC Sport: "All in all, we put in a super display and deserved the win. This was a fantastic performance, in my opinion our best of the season. As far as I am concerned, we have set the bar for the level that we can clearly play to and the boys should use this performance as a platform for the remainder of our season."
DC Prediction: Manchester 1 Raiders 2

FC TEAM A 2 MACCABI LONDON LIONS A 3
Lions A progressed into the next round after coming through a five-goal thriller against FC Team in Harefield with strikes from Nick Smith, James Gold and Bradley Sharp.
Adam Rones and top-scorer Richard Salmon were the marksmen for FC Team.
A Lions spokesman told JC Sport: "Although this certainly wasn’t our greatest footballing display this season, a win is a win and they find ourelves in the last 16 of the Peter Morrison. Going forward, the management will need to get better performances from their players all across the board, similarly to the last few weeks games if they are to mount a serious challenge for silverware this season."
Proud FC Team boss Mitch Young told JC Sport: "I thought we were brilliant today. For 70 minutes our game-plan was working perfectly and.In truth the game should have been a draw and gone into extra-time. I know referees have a very difficult job but this was a long ball played through to their striker from our corner and everyone on the pitch and watching could see it was offside. It was an easy decision. Anyway my boys stuck to the game plan brilliantly."
DC Prediction: FC Team 0 Lions 5

Adam Lavin, Toby Levy and Shapiro converted their spot-kicks, while goalkeeper Alex Davies saved one of RJC's.
Neil Collins' men left South Manchester at 7.30am this morning but they stayed the distance to break RJC's hearts.

HENDON UNITED SPORTS CLUB A 1 OAKWOOD A 3
A brilliant first-half performance helped Oakwood go four points clear at the top of the table following an impressive win over title rivals Hendon United at Hadley FC.
Kyle Bentwood broke the deadlock with a JC Goal of the Week contender and another impressive finish from Brad Wine doubled the lead against a shell-shocked Hendon team. Alex Lee made it 3-0 with a curling free-kick before Rocky Spitzer fired a long-range consolation for Hendon in the second half.
Oakwood joint-boss Dan Kristall told JC Sport: "We are certainly not getting carried away as our final few games are extremely testing but if we keep the balance between goal-scoring and the defensive side of our game as we are at the moment, we will give ourselves a great chance."
Disappointed Hendon boss David Garbacz told JC Sport; "For the second game running, we had a mad 15-minute spell in a match, and during that time towards the end of the first half we conceded three sloppy goals. Whilst they were all excellent finishes from Oakwood’s point of view they were all unavoidable from ours."
JC Prediction: Hendon 1 Oakwood 2

Proud Scrabble boss Ray Abrahams told JC Sport: "If I was in a battle of any sort I would want these lads with me.The 10 heroes we had at any one time out there today were magnificent for the best part of an hour and the camaraderie and determination to take the three points drove us on.They did credit to this fantastic club and themselves for the way they fought today and it was one of our best performances of the season."

Dan Andrews, Scott McKenzie, David Fialka and own goal accounted for the RJC goals.
RJC boss Sam Rank told JC Sport: "We didn't turn up to the races today and this will be a hard lesson to take. But most importantly it was the wake-up call the boys needed if we are going to win the league. Fair play to Faithfold today, they worked hard for each other and definitely deserved a point today."

L’EQUIPE 8 BOCA JEWNIORS 1
ANDY SMITH fired a fab four-goal salvo as L'Equipe continued their merciless march towards the title with an emphatic 8-1 win over in-form Boca Jewniors.
Max Martin, James Bell, Rob Simons and Nick Stern completed the rout for the league leaders who registered their 10th league win.
Sam Simon had equalised for Boca, but it proved no more than scant consolation.
L'Equipe player-manager Nick Stern told JC Sport: "It was a good win after a disappointing first half, but we are not getting ahead of ourselves and all eyes are now on Faithfold next week."
Boca's Anton Nyman told JC Sport: "After the hype of back-to-back wins, we were brought back to earth by a strong, organised L'Equipe side, although the scoreline doesn't really do any justice to the first half especially."
DC Prediction: L’Equipe 3 Boca 0

NORTH LONDON RAIDERS C 8 HERTSWOOD VALE 2
Alex Elf, Liam Stein, Andy Cohen and Rob Samuelson guided Raiders C to their third consecutive victory as they bypassed Hertswood Vale.
Josh Cohen scored twice for Hertswood.
Raiders boss Sam Rose told JC Sport: “It was an exceedingly tough game today. We knew Hertswood would give us a game and our frustration threatened to boil over when they went 1-0 up. But our determination, willingness and tenacity to get the result never wavered and getting the equaliser before half time really helped us."
Hertswood joint-manager Jack Shulman told JC Sport: "We trned up to the game with only 11 players, six of whom were match fit. We put in an excellent performance, showed real focus, vision and energy, however the legs took their toll towards the end with Raiders scoring a couple of late goals. Positive signs as we look for our first win of the season."
