JC GOAL OF THE WEEK CONTENDERS

- SIMON MOSES (Los Blancos) - stunning 30-yard free-kick

- JACOB RICHLER-KLEIMAN (Oakwood B) - great work from Dani Dennison to Dan Ash who put the full-back on the floor before crossing to JRK who finished into the bottom corner

- SAM MODLIN (Oakwood B) - delightful one-two with Dan Ash before a fine finish through the keeper's legs

- LEE CASH (ML Lions Masters) - no-one sensed what was to follow. He controlled on the move with his chest, his next touch saw him execute a stunning dipping volley with his left foot that from 25 yards simply flew over the flailing arm the keeper to find the back of the net

- ZACH COHEN (Mill Hill Dons) - showed a superb turn of pace to chase down what looked like a lost cause and when he touched the ball past the Bayern keeper, he slotted in brilliantly from a seemingly impossible angle

- GAB SAUL (Temple Fortune B) - Faithfold looked to have cleared a long-throw only for the ball to bounce in from of Saul 30 yards from goal and he rocketed a half volley into the corner of the net. The technique was sumptuous and the finish was of professional quality. He’s now got two nominations for the TFFC Goal of the Season awards!

---------------------

---------------------

JC SAVE OF THE WEEK CONTENDERS

- RUSS CORIN (Hendon Utd) - made a host of great saves today and looked like he’s heading in the right direction, returning to full fitness hopefully over the coming weeks. The pick of the saves was a diving save to his right from a bullet header in the second half which would have changed the complexion of the game

JC QUOTE OF THE WEEK CONTENDERS

- JAMIE NAGIOFF (Mill Hill Dons) - "I think this was a defining moment in our season. Not just because we dominated against a title rival or because we now sit top of the league but because we showed a defensive maturity that I hadn't seen from us before"

- STEVEN BLACK (Temple Fortune B) - "This win was really crucial for the rest of the campaign and everyone can be very proud of themselves. The saying goes that there are only two certainties in life; death and taxes. Let me add one more to that; a Jordan Jay winner. My word does that lad have an eye for goal!"

- AVI MARKIEWICZ (Faithfold A) - "After the mauling in the cup last week, it was essential that we bounced back and we certainly did that"

MACCABI LONDON LIONS MASTERS 4 OAKWOOD A 2

Lions boss Dan Jacobs told JC Sport: "“The game was, of course, far more physically demanding than we are used to, so we are pleased with how we matched up on that side of things. And having done so we’ve some pretty good technical players whose quality ultimately proved the difference."

Oaks joint-manager Dan Kristall told JC Sport: "Firstly, may I add that the best team won. I have no complaints with the scoreline. Our squad was stretched missing several key players but Lions used their experience and quality to come through."
