A wonder goal from Yoni Sidi helped England FC maintain their 100 per cent record as they edged past Jerusalem in the battle between last season's top two finishers.
Jerusalem were well marshalled by Dan Kosky and Danny Newman. The deadlock was finally broken in the 82nd minute when Sidi rifled in a free kick from 35 yards into the top corner.
Richard Pater, the Jerusalem manager, said "We are, of course, disappointed not to have taken at least a point."
Elsewhere, the French boys of Ashdod continue to show great promise in their first season, winning the top-of-the-table clash against Raanana. Victory lifted them to within three points off England.
