Solomon calls time at Faithfold

articlemain

Zuriel Solomon will step down as manager of Faithfold A after Sunday’s MGBSFL match against North West Neasden.

Having joined the club 25 years ago, Solomon has enjoyed great success as a player and a manager, leading the team to two league titles and, most notably, the London FA Sunday Intermediate Cup.

Reflecting on his tenure, player-manager Solomon said: “It has been a very tough period for the club, but the boys who have stuck with it have been great.

"We really lacked numbers this year and coupled with boys leaving, it has been really hard.

"It has been an extremely stressful time, but I wouldn’t have done it if I didn’t enjoy it."

Faithfold currently lie fifth in the MGBSFL Premier Division and they are out of both cups, but Solomon insists the future looks bright.

"We have some exciting plans for next year, including a new manager, which will be unveiled once the season is over.

"I will still be involved with the club as my blood is green, but I also hope to spend more time with my son."
