Sheldon Lee blew the MJSL title race wide open after leading Manchester Maccabi 3rd to a thrilling 2-1 victory over leaders Haroldeans.
Lee's double strike was enough to put an end to the Merseysiders' nine-match winning streak and cut their lead at the top to six points.
Maccabi boss Steve Bentwood believes the addition of a few more experienced heads in his team selection was the key to his side's success.
"I think, because we had a few older players, it gave us a bit more experience on how to see the game out," he said.
"At 2-1 with 25 minutes to go, we had enough about us to see the game out, which we might not have done earlier in the season."
A strike from James Harris was sandwiched in between Lee's brace.
Oakhill continued their rich vein of form by moving ever closer to Haroldeans following a 3-0 win over Crumpsall. The goals came through Josh Daniels, Eli Gottlieb and Alex Goodman.
Oli Grant and David Cohen fired hat-tricks, while Ben Roback and David Seligman were also in the goals as Hyde Park Rovers thrashed Broughton 8-0.
Leeds Maccabi 3rd are still searching for their first win after going down 2-0 against Republic 1st with goals from Paul Basger and Mike Gastwirth.
