Strikes from Joe Sharpe and Sam Shooter inspired London Lions to an impressive cup win over high-flying Totternhoe.

Fielding no fewer than seven teenagers in Zac Rose, Ben Winters, jake Rinsler, Jamie Nagioff and James Belchak plus the two scorers - along with the 'old heads' of Alex Lee and Max Kyte, coupled with veterans Adam Myeroff, Rafa Soccairello and Dan Lee in goal, the Lions were good value for their win against a strong Tottenhoe side in Bedfordshire.

Shooter gave Lions the lead early in the second half and a free-kick from Sharpe doubled the lead on the hour.

Tottenhoe came back with a header from a set-piece and Lee made a crucial save with 10 to go to ensure that there was no extra time.
