Dudi Sela's excellent run at the Australian Open came to a halt at the third-round stage as he was outclassed by world no. 3 Rafa Nadal.
Having eliminated 28th seed Lukas Rosol on Wednesday, Sela was simply swept aside by the Spaniard who showed no signs of the injury problems which hampered him in a five-setter during his round two match.
Sela managed to win only one game in the opening two sets, but he improved in the third before eventually going down 7-5 in a just over two hours.
The Israeli produced some solid ground strokes and served steadily, producing two aces and just one double fault, but the gulf in class was evident early on as Nadal stormed into a 4-0 lead. And there was simply no way back.
