Season 2016/17: meet the teams - Redbridge Jewish Care A

articlemain

Excitement is building at Redbridge Jewish Care A, with boss Jon Jacobs confident they can go all the way.

Consistency is the name of the game for a multi-talented squad capable of beating anyone in the MGBSFL.

Dean Nyman and Russell Goldstein are among the new faces of a group brimming with confidence.

And they won the race to acquire Zack Neiman plus they boast a forward line “with pace to burn”.

Now watch them go!

COMPETITIONS ENTERED:
We have entered all the Jewish Cups but none of the County cup competitions

HOPES FOR THE SEASON:
We aim to compete at the top table and be one of the teams in and around the top, we are certainly good enough to beat anyone on our day , we just need to remain consistent

PLAYERS IN & OUT:
We have really freshened things up this season - we welcome back Dan Lee in goal to bring that experience of previous seasons. We also welcome back Sam McCarthy from his season away. This will definitely bring passion, pace and experience as well as adding competition at the back

Dean Nyman has committed for a full season and his all-round knowledge, experience and ability will definitely bring the best of Daniel Garfinkle and my pace-to-burn frontline

New players

Daryl Rubin - could be a Rolls Royce of a signing. He hasn’t played for Redbridge since youth days but has looked a class act in pre-season and definitely adds to our defensive and midfield options centrally

Russell Goldstein - a one-off of a player and personality, he is definitely the loudest (and funniest) new boy in our squad and with his undoubted International Futsal expertise, will add skill out wide as well as stamina

Nate Kashket – the youngest to roll off the Kashket production line, Nate is a rough diamond who has huge potential and will develop as the season gathers pace

New Signing:

Zack Neiman from Scrabble is a huge signing for Redbridge and has looked comfortable either at the back or up front for us in pre-season, very assured on the ball

Long-term injuries - Steve Summers is out until October at the earliest with leg injury. Scott Oldstein sidelined until January after cruciate operation

PLAYERS TO WATCH:
The team will bring its usual passion on and off the pitch. We have pace all over the park so fully up for the challenge on all fronts this season.

CAPTAIN:
Daniel ‘Bergy’ Berg, with Ben Sollosi vice-captain

HOME GROUND:
Old Parkonians, a new pitch for us, next door to our old ground

KIT:
All Royal Blue

SPONSORS:
Cube Developments
