Excitement is the name of the game for the newly-merged Norstar London Raiders A this season, with Phil Peters hoping to get the best out of his talented pack.
Competitions entered: Just the league, Anekstein and Morrison
New signings: With the Norstar and Raiders teams merging most of our players come from those two squads, however the chairman's dug deep to sign Jake Doffman from Lions, although he will continue to play for them on Saturdays
Which of the signings excites you most? Given there's only one ‘signing’ I'll have to say Jake! He’s a phenomenal young keeper - and will almost certainly the best playing Sunday football next season
Have any players left? We’ve had the unenviable task of asking some of the boys to play in the B team next year and a few to leave the club entirely. Norstar captain Jeremy Elster has taken semi-retirement, whilst Raiders’ Rik Sherman does the same so we’ll be looking for some new leadership around the club
Hopes for the season: Having both had difficult seasons last year, we’d like to enjoy a few more victories in both the league and cup and worry more about who is above us than below
Which players would you describe as the 'ones to watch' and why? We have lots of exciting talent across the team and it will be interesting to see how Norstar boys like Zak Mcleod, Josh Green and Adam Jason link up with Raiders' David Dinkin and Jamie Wolfson
Which team do you consider your strongest challengers? Faithfold will be strong again for sure and will be clear favourites for the title. Other than that it looks pretty close with lots of quality players throughout the other nine teams
Captain: David Rhodes will captain the side with Elliot Espinoza as vice-captain. Rhodes deservedly reclaims the armband after almost 10 years service to the club
Sponsor: Harris Balcombe
Home ground: Ark Academy/Brunel
What will your team bring to the league this season? Exciting, attacking football based on solid foundations and the ability to spring a few surprises
